Editorial Studio Session, Kennedy Izzard – Carlee Secor Photography
As a photographer, I’m always growing. Day after day I constantly feel like I’m learning more, doing more & wanting to keep learning more. A goal of mine is to continue to try new things even if it doesn’t feel like my niche. I’ve always adored studio work, but I was very particular about how I envisioned my studio sessions to look. I reached out to my friend and fellow photographer Kristy Rueter, to teach me all things lighting in her studio in Green Bay. (No, I still work on location and don’t have a studio! Yet!)
Kennedy was one of my first ever seniors from last year. I LOVED her senior portrait session, and I’m sure the internet knows that because I overshared her images like a mad-man and I’ll probably overshare her images from this session too! Its so weird how everything comes full circle but I’ve grown and learned SO much from first working with her and I am so happy shes still in Green Bay and can model for me whenever I need 🙂
I was super nervous the images wouldn’t match the vision I had in my mind, but they completely blew me out of the water. If you didn’t know, I only shoot outside and have never EVER shot in a studio. Isn’t that crazy?! It has never been accessible for me, and I’ve never needed a studio either. Needless to say, I love every shot and I’m so happy I stepped out of my little box to try something new. It’s good for the creative mind to do so 😉
Enjoy 🙂
